How to decide between air cooled and water cooled chiller types?
In an air-cooled chiller, hot refrigerant entering the copper tube fin condenser and it is exposed to atmospheric air for heat dissipation.The air-cooled chiller has built-in fan and no need cooling tower for operation, easier installation, lower maintenance cost and save water.
On the other hand, in a water-cooled chiller, hot refrigerant gas is sent to a water-cooled heat exchanger (shell and tube condenser) for heat dissipation. Thus, it will need cooling water from a cooling tower.
