No matter what your application,there are also some single formulas for determining the size of chiller you need.Before you begin,you must know three factors below:

• the inlet chilled water temperature ( the incoming water temperature )
• the outlet chilled water temperature ( the chilled water temperature you require )
• the chilled flow rate

General formulas:

1. Norminal cooling capacity ( KW ) = chilled water flow rate ( L/S ) * 4.187 * temperature difference ( ℃ )* safety coeffcient ( 1.3 for air cooled and 1.1 for water cooled )

2.Norminal cooling capacity ( Btu / hr ) = flow rate ( GPH ) * 8.33 * temperature difference ( ℉) * 1.2

3.Norminal cooling capacity ( Kcal / h ) = water tank volume ( L ) * temperature difference ( ℃ )
